The advertising agency HKS & B, which is loaced in Hamburg Germany, has it's roots in the printing sector and is very successful in what they are doing. In the last time they try to do more jobs in the new media sector.
I got a job at HKS & B as freelance developer to renew their homepage. With lots of good designers HKS & B delivered me the design and the main concept of the site. My job was to program a easy to use Content Manage System and of cause the front end page in Flash.
Beside Flash 8.0 I used the Zend-Framework (early Beta) to create the CMS from scratch. It is an easy to use and sophisticated system to manage all the contents on the flash site. For the data storeige I decided to use a MySQL database which delivers the data and the CMS convert it in XML strings to communicate with the Flash application. For a better user experience I have included tons of AJAX scripts, e.g. for sorting, expanding lists and so on.
